Enduro Africa is a challenge like no other. It is
an off-road motorcycle adventure aimed at
raising funds for four amazing charities, Unicef,
Sentebale the Prince's trust for Lesotho, The
Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and Touch
Africa. Their work is absolutely vital to the
survival of some of Africa's poorest and most
vulnerable children.
Take 2 rather saggy out of shape road bikers, one with
zero off-road experience, the other an out of touch ex-
motocrosser in desperate need of training.
Challenge them to ride dawn to dusk in the scorching
African sunshine through some of the toughest terrain on
earth, over a distance of 2000km. All this within an 8
day period through South Africa (now that's 'the tough
one')
To raise a minimum of £10k through sponsorship - to
perform this act of madness!
Every minute of every day, a baby is born with HIV,
passed on by his or her mother during pregnancy, labour
or during delivery. The good news however is that with
your support we can prevent babies getting HIV from
their mothers. In fact, the drug that halves the chances
of babies getting HIV costs just 68p.
To reach a health centre, some pregnant women have to
walk anything up to 200 miles.
Off-road motorcycles are the quickest and most cost
effective method for health workers to visit pregnant
women.
